CLINICAL CARE MANAGER

Faye Lakisa

Faye is a registered nurse (RN) with Queensland Health. She possesses a strong understanding of patient care, ethical competence and nursing practice. She completed a Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience shaped by over 20 years engaged in community service programs and professional experience working with and caring for children, youth and seniors.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dr David Lakisa

Dr Lakisa is an organisational leadership specialist. He has a PhD is diversity management (UTS), Masters (SCU) and Bachelor Education (QUT). David brings strong strategic leadership due to his board experience. He has worked across Australia and the Pacific region in various industry sectors such as health, education, community, international development, and government to name a few. He has been the recipient of academic and business awards and is passionate about helping others thrive via supported networks and personal development.

PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Darren Singh

Darren Singh is a practicing psychotherapist who has spent the last six years providing services primarily, but not limited to, Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children, parent’s and families. Darren has proven experience in managing evidence based therapeutic services within the First Nations communities and whilst partnering with an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), Youth Justice and Child Protection. The focus of Darren’s clinical intervention has been to prevent youth incarceration and children entering Out Of Home Care by applying therapeutic approaches to high level addictions, serious offenders, violence and youth crime.

EDUCATION MANAGER

Wayne Lakisa

Wayne is an ‘experienced senior teacher’ and learning and development specialist. He has completed a Bachelor of Education (secondary) from Griffith University and a Graduate Certificate in Middle School Mathematics from the Australian Catholic University (ACU). He has been an employee of Education Queensland for the past 24 years and possesses vast experience in working in programs funded by The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety programs. He has worked at various schools across Queensland namely, Sarina State High School, Marsden State High School, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Barrett Adolescent and Brisbane Youth Education Training Centre, to name a few.
